Customer-obsessed software engineer building enterprise applications at Databricks.

01 — About

The intersection of
engineering and design.

I'm a senior software engineer at Databricks in New York, working on the upcoming CustomerLake launch. Before that I spent six years at AWS shipping enterprise AI consoles used by 15,000+ customers. I care about the gap between engineering and design — building things that are scalable under the hood and genuinely good to use.

My path here is a bit unusual. I studied the social science of the internet at Oxford, researched internet governance under Vint Cerf at Google, and contributed to the Internet Society's work on the future of the internet — before going to AWS to actually build it.

At Oxford, I was supervised by Viktor Mayer-Schönberger, whose work on big data and internet governance shaped how I think about the systems I build.

That thread runs through everything I do: I think about technology at a systems level, not just a code level.
